Bird Watching of Sorts

The wildlife group I work with has had its bird nursery open for over a month now and I've had the joy of seeing quite a few of the birds that have come through the doors grow up from tiny babies to fledglings. I gotta say so far the ones that have made me jump for my camera were the Green Heron, Barn Owl, Screech Owl, Anna's Hummingbird, Virginia Opossum and a nest filled with Bushtits. I have been working front desk transferring every animals to a safe container from its transportation carrier the public has used (shoe boxes etc.)

Bird Nursery Officially Open

GAME ON!!! *Puts the hockey nets back out into the street*
Bird Season once again :D The Wildlife Rehabilitation group I work with has opened its Bird Nursery Doors for the year. I will be working Wed and Fri. Wed at the front desk doing intake which is awesome cause I see everything that passes through the doors... and then Friday is Triage where I will learn to set broken wings and legs, stitch and glue wounds, and basically treat or help any injured animal that is carried through our doors. I'm SO EXCITED! Trouble is I'm a committment freak. I can't stand making a committement I am a "Flake" in every sense of the word. It is totally frea

I live in Sacramento 
I just got back last night from another trip to Monterey to discover I didn't get a single shot of the Great White which was my purpose for driving the 6 hours. I am going to call the Panasonic company today and find out what I'm doing wrong. So I will probably be in your area again within the next few weeks in a desperate panic trying to get a pefect shot of the Great White. You truly are lucky to live in such an amazing area. The tide pools alone would keep me busy for a lifetime. I am not only a photography freak but a science nut. Anyhow thanks for stopping by.
